Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Network Engineer for the Fort Wainwright Mission Training Complex (MTC) to design, implement, and manage classified and unclassified networks supporting exercises and events. The role involves coordination with external partners and ensuring RMF compliance for secure operations.

The position requires configuring Cisco devices, monitoring performance, and contributing to cybersecurity tasks with an emphasis on DoD network infrastructure,

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree or equivalent relevant years of experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ related experience in network architecture design, implementation, and management.
• Knowledge of RMF methodology and C&A processes.
• Experience with configuring network devices and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, implement, and oversee classified and unclassified MTC WAN/LAN networks.
• Manage networks owned by external organizations, including NIPR and SIPR.
• Coordinate network design and requirements with multiple sites and organizations.
• Configure equipment and assist with installation of circuits for distributed exercises.
• Install, configure, monitor, and secure networks and related devices.
• Configure and document simulation networks, including firewalls, routers, and switches.
