Job summary

Serco is seeking a Network Administrator to support a Department of Defense mission in Huntsville, AL. You will help maintain networks, systems, and applications while collaborating with a technical team to ensure availability and security.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, CompTIA A+ certification, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. You may travel up to 10% and contribute to backups, recovery, and cybersecurity activities within a DoD-friendly environment.

Qualifications

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Ability to troubleshoot basic network, hardware, software, and system issues.
Position is contingent upon contract award.
Up to 10% travel.

Responsibilities

Set up, configure, operate, and support internal and external networks.
Maintain network, system, application, and security configurations.
Monitor network and system performance and troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues.
Install and support network hardware, software, patches, and system updates.
Recommend upgrades, patches, applications, and equipment to improve reliability and performance.
Provide technical support and guidance to system users.
Assist with backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
Document network configurations, system changes, troubleshooting activities, and procedures.
Support cybersecurity and configuration-management requirements of the DoD environment.
Coordinate with other personnel to resolve issues.
