Job summary

Sherpa 6 in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD is seeking a Logistics Management Specialist to provide IPS and lifecycle logistics support for DoW programs. Responsibilities include coordinating with IPTs, developing LCSPs, and ensuring readiness and compliance throughout the acquisition lifecycle.

Requires 4–8 years in DoW logistics, active Secret clearance, and proficiency with IPS, PSA, and MS Office. Onsite role with 10% travel; strong focus on documentation and fielding/transition planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related discipline (experience may substitute for education).
• 4-8 years of DoW logistics or acquisition logistics experience.
• Experience supporting Army or DoW acquisition programs.
• Working knowledge of IPS, Life Cycle Logistics, PSA, Supply Chain Management, Property Accountability.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Support Life Cycle Logistics (LCL) activities throughout system acquisition and sustainment.
• Develop, review, and update logistics documentation, including LCSPs, IPS Elements, Maintenance Plans, provisioning, fielding, and Transition Plans.
• Coordinate logistics planning with Program Managers, Engineers, Product Support Managers, and IPTs.
• Analyze logistics support requirements and recommend improvements to readiness, reliability, maintainability, and sustainment.
• Monitor Government Furnished Property (GFP) and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) accountability.
• Support property accountability using DPAS, GCSS-Army, or equivalent logistics systems.
• Assist with inventory management, provisioning, transportation planning, and supply chain coordination.
• Prepare logistics reports, briefings, metrics, and milestone documentation.
• Support fielding events, logistics demonstrations, testing activities, and NET when required.
• Ensure compliance with DoD acquisition regulations, Army logistics policies, and FAR/DFARS.
• Participate in IPTs, CCBs, and PMRs.
