Job summary

The US Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) seeks an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INET/INFOSEC) to support ISSO/ISSMs. This onsite position is in Indianapolis, IN and involves securing DoD IS and PIT systems while aligning with DoD cybersecurity standards.

Required are U.S. citizenship and a background investigation, with eligibility for federal employment. Telework is limited; relocation and security clearance considerations apply.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Background Investigation required.
• Suitable for Federal Employment.
• Registered for Selective Service (if applicable).
• DoD 8140 foundational qualifications may be required within 9 months and residential qualifications within 12 months.
• National security position may require favorable suitability and security clearance.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 in federal service.
• Education is not substitutable for specialized experience at this grade level.

Responsibilities

• Support the ISSO and ISSMs in duties and responsibilities.
• Implement and enforce DoD cybersecurity policies for DoD IS and PIT systems.
• Ensure users have appropriate security clearances and understand responsibilities.
• Conduct fact-finding meetings to identify web page and internet requirements.
• Research web technologies and identify options for business practices.
• Develop web page code using HTML and Java Script.
• Test, debug, modify, and validate web information before release.
