Job summary

CAE USA, Inc. seeks an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join the Classified Cyber Security Team supporting DoD programs, ensuring compliance with cyber security requirements and directives.

The role integrates cyber security program functions with management leadership, oversees IA/ RMF activities, and coordinates with government officials to maintain secure information systems while advancing defensive capabilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree or higher in a STEM field with 5+ years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 7+ years of related experience.
• Active DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level II certs (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GSLC).
• Knowledge of security standards and frameworks (FIPS, NIST SP 800 series, JSIG, DAAPM, ICD).
• Experience managing cybersecurity requirements/teams in collateral, SAP, or SCI environments.
• Experience interfacing with internal/external customers (DCSA, AO/DAO, GCAs, IT, PMs).
• Experience leading A&A of classified information systems.
• Experience managing people and technical resources.
• Excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated with good written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a team environment.
• U.S. citizenship is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Integrate the Classified Cyber Security Program with the Program Management leadership to drive strategic cyber security goals.
• Assist offsite personnel to meet USG certification requirements and maintain security compliance.
• Provide leadership to Cyber Security teams ensuring program milestones are met.
• Act as liaison with government Authorizing Officials for the portfolio area.
• Lead definitions of IA requirements and conduct cyber risk assessments and RMF implementation.
• Develop system documentation for authorization, security management, and monitoring.
• Ensure security controls operate as intended through all lifecycle phases.
• Coordinate continuous monitoring per DoD requirements and Analyze IOC with SIEM tools.
• Coordinate with cyber engineers and architects on secure technical solutions.
• Support current and future security domains and architectures.
