Job summary

SMX is seeking an ISSO to maintain the DoD IS/PIT system security posture. The role requires on-site presence in Arlington, VA, a Bachelor's degree, and a Secret clearance.

You will ensure ATOs are current, support RMF/ATO processes, and manage vulnerability and configuration controls with eMASS. The position includes security documentation, incident response coordination, and collaboration with cybersecurity teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Secret Clearance required.
• Knowledge of DoD RMF and ATO processes.
• Develop and document security policies and procedures (SSP/POA&M).
• Perform system security assessment and authorization (A&A).
• Manage vulnerabilities and scans with eMASS or equivalent.
• Configure and control changes with security impact reviews.
• Coordinate incident response and corrective actions.
• Maintain current security documentation and records.
• On-site at Arlington, VA up to three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Ensure each IS in area has a current ATO.
• Advise on system descriptions, information types, and security requirements.
• Review hardware, software, and security capabilities for accuracy in eMASS and compliance.
• Confirm vulnerability management dissemination, reporting, and compliance.
• Prepare, distribute, and maintain security plans, instructions, and SOPs.
• Evaluate security impact of system changes and document changes.
