Job Title: Threat Load Developer Engineer

Job Description

Threat Load Developer Engineer to support the development and testing of threat load programming for countermeasure systems. This position is based at NSWC Crane, which offers comprehensive support for complex military systems in Electronic Warfare, Strategic Missions, and Expeditionary Warfare. The successful candidate will collaborate with signal processing, software development, and system analysis teams to create and test advanced threat load solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop signal processing algorithms and waveforms for communications, networking, and electronic warfare systems.
2. Design, model, implement, and test algorithm concepts through software.
3. Perform RF analysis and surveys of radio-controlled initiators to construct threat loads.
4. Develop, test, and deliver new threat load software.
5. Use spectrum analyzers to capture test signals for threat load development.
6. Implement multi-phased software upgrades using UTS and Threat Load Configuration Files (TCF).
7. Analyze Navy Electronic Warfare (EW) systems and perform diagnostics.
8. Conduct unit/system testing for Navy EW systems.
9. Coordinate system updates and perform configuration management with OEM.
10. Maintain and update system documentation for configuration management.

Desired Experience:

1. 3+ years in computer design, software development, or networks.
2. Extensive experience with MATLAB.
3. Experience with RF devices and signal processing/testing.
4. Strong coding skills in C++ preferred.
5. Understanding of CIED and CUAS threats.
6. Proficiency in diagnostics and troubleshooting.

Desired Education:

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a focus on Computer Science.

Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. U.S. Citizenship required due to sensitive nature of work.

Candidate Requirements:

• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• No non-engineering degrees for engineering roles.
• Must meet all position requirements; no exceptions.
• Must be willing to relocate to Odon, Indiana if selected.
