Job summary

HART Technologies, Inc. in Dahlgren, VA is seeking an Engineering Technician to support an engineering services contract. You will build, assemble, test, and troubleshoot wire harnesses, CCAs, and enclosures, while preparing equipment for test events and traveling for testing as required.

The role involves data collection, reporting, and collaboration with engineers and R&D. A DoD security clearance and shipboard testing experience are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronic test equipment and testing protocols.
• Experience developing and testing solutions to solve technical problems in R&D, inspection, maintenance, and assisting engineers.
• Ability to handle manual labor (carrying heavy equipment) and tolerate shipboard work environments.
• Experience with Hardware Assembly, Testing and Repair including soldering and Cable Repair.
• Ability to travel (10-25%), with some trips up to 3 weeks in length.
• Experience with shipboard testing is a plus.
• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, and test wire harnesses, CCAs, wire harnesses, and electronic enclosures.
• Assist with preparing equipment for off-site test events and shipping equipment after events.
• Execute tests using DMMs, oscilloscopes, analyzers, generators and power supplies.
• Collect and analyze test data/results, document results, and write reports for engineers and R&D.
• Maintain inventory and handle logistics for testing equipment.
• Analyze equipment failures and provide improvement recommendations.
• Procure equipment and supplies for labs and engineering hardware.
• Maintain test data in lab notebooks and active logs.
• Support engineers at test events CONUS/OCONUS as needed.
• Assist with design and documentation for test events.
