Job summary

Cortina Solutions is seeking a high-impact Mid-Level Cybersecurity Engineer to support a complex NSWC PCD contract. You will own your technical domain, performing cyber event analysis and producing RMF/ATO artifacts that shape naval technology.

The role provides security controls across enterprise IT environments and simulation/test networks, leveraging DISA STIG Viewer, Tenable ACAS, and McAfee HBSS/ePolicy Orchestrator to maintain compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of civilian or military cybersecurity experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, or related field.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Experience with RMF accreditation and authorization process.
• Hands-on experience with cyber event monitoring, log analysis, or vulnerability assessments.
• Direct experience with achieving and maintaining DoD Authority to Operate (ATO) certifications.
• Hands-on experience with DOD cybersecurity tools, including DISA STIG Viewer, DISA SCAP Tool, Tenable ACAS, and McAfee HBSS/ePolicy Orchestrator.
• Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide cybersecurity and IT support for DoD information systems, ensuring compliance, security, and operational readiness.
• Maintain RMF artifacts and support ATO documentation.
• Conduct cyber event analysis, log correlation, and vulnerability assessments.
• Update artifacts and support security controls across enterprise IT environments and simulation/test networks.
• Utilize DOD-approved tools (DISA STIG Viewer, DISA SCAP Tool, Tenable ACAS, McAfee HBSS/ePolicy Orchestrator).
