Job summary

The Leading Niche in San Diego, CA seeks an IT Cybersecurity Specialist to help build and maintain a DoD-compliant security program across IL4/IL5 environments, focusing on ServiceNow configuration and RMF artifacts.

The role requires hands-on security control implementation, risk management alignment, and collaboration with government program managers and security teams to ensure continuous monitoring and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a cybersecurity/CS/engineering related field or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on RMF/ATO experience and DoD control mappings.
• ServiceNow security configuration and access control management experience.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills for security artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement ServiceNow-specific security controls.
• Configure and maintain RBAC, ACLs, Data Policies and Edge Encryption.
• Enforce data segregation between IL4 public and IL5 CAC-enabled environments.
• Create and maintain RBAC schemas, roles, groups, ACLs and data segregation rules.
• Align configurations with DoD Zero Trust principles and Blue List requirements.
• Develop and update RMF artifacts and System Security Plan.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure cybersecurity protocols and documentation.
• Monitor vulnerabilities, POA&M, and remediation actions.
