Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks an Information Security Risk Specialist to collaborate with DoD system owners, administrators, and developers, identifying cyber risks and developing comprehensive mitigation strategies. You will guide remediation plans and present detailed white papers and milestones to ensure risk management and cybersecurity resilience.

You will translate security concepts for DoD systems, expanding your expertise in DevSecOps and cloud security while working to secure critical DoD

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a professional IT environment.
• 3+ years in cybersecurity and A&A supporting DoD environments.
• Experience with DoD ATO packages, A&A, RMF, and risk assessments for DoD systems hosted in AWS/Azure/hybrid cloud.
• Experience with cloud-native and containerized environments security controls.
• Interface with engineering teams to align DevSecOps with cybersecurity policies.
• Knowledge of compliance testing tools such as ACAS, SCAP, STIGs, SRGs, eMASS, Xacta.
• Experience with NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253, artifacts, SSPs, POA&Ms, SAPs, risk assessments, and continuous monitoring.
• TS/SCI clearance.
• HS diploma or GED.
• DoD 8570 Level II Security+ Certification or higher.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with DoD system owners, administrators, and developers to identify cyber risks and mitigation strategies.
• Guide clients through remediation plans, delivering clear presentations, white papers, and milestones.
• Translate security concepts for DoD systems to enable informed decision-making.
• Broaden skills in DevSecOps and cloud security while serving as an information security SME.
