Job summary

Peraton in Linthicum, MD is seeking a Cyber Data Analyst to support the DoD customer. You will contribute to cyber investigations, digital forensics, and threat analysis within a high-performing team. Candidates should have deep cyber knowledge and the ability to communicate with senior government leadership.

The role focuses on threat intelligence, incident response support, and optimizing Jira/Confluence workflows in a secure DoD environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT, cybersecurity, CS, data science, information systems or software engineering; four extra years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
• Active Secret security clearance required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Compose cyber trend reports for Defense Industrial Base partners.
• Respond to RFIs, including data pulls and metrics.
• Monitor Jira tickets and provide updates as needed.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes within Jira and Confluence.
• Update SOPs and redesign Jira UI to enhance service delivery.
• Conduct open-source and closed-source research of indicators of compromise.
