Job summary

KBR Careers is seeking a Special Operations Community Resource Coordinator (CRC) based at Ft. Liberty, NC.

The role focuses on data collection and reporting for program evaluations, while coordinating peer support and community-based services for service members and families. Responsibilities include supporting command at multiple locations, developing needs-based programming, and maintaining knowledge of DoD resources such as Military OneSource and MFLC.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required.
• Secret or Top Secret clearance, or ability to obtain clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, human/social services or related field or four years’ experience providing social service education, or work/family life consultation or coordination services.
• Minimum of two years’ experience coordinating social service education programs.
• Shall have, or be willing to receive, specialized training on peer support counseling, community resources and referrals and suicide prevention.
• Must remain current on best practices and developments in peer support counseling and suicide prevention, and DoD/community resources.

Responsibilities

• Collect and report data for formative and outcome evaluations of peer support and community-based programs.
• Collect original data and data from secondary sources for program assessments (focus groups, FRG staff, etc.).
• Support commands at multiple levels and locations; identify and document program needs and evaluation data.
• Develop needs-based programming for specific demographic groups and geographic locations.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of DoD resources (Military OneSource, MFLC, PFC, Military Crisis Line).
• Lead or assist in coordinating official processes, functions and networking opportunities for subpopulations served.
• Establish and report activity of peer counseling networks; report activity using required tools.
• Conduct and contribute to Family Orientation, Outreach and Referrals; Pre/Post-deployment preparation, reintegration and decompression; family relational enhancement; unit level career transition programs.
• Contribute to Social/Family and Psychological Program implementation including suicide prevention and resilience resources; stay aware of community resources.
• Assist with development of standard operating procedures and service protocols.
• Serve as Commander’s liaison for community and family support matters; communicate via media/social media; maintain awareness of emergency protocols.
