Job summary

System One, Inc. seeks a highly skilled Maritime Systems Engineer for a direct-hire role in Orlando, FL.

The engineer will support bridge-system simulations, develop and test software across Linux and Windows environments, and collaborate with engineers, contractors, and government representatives. The role requires 3+ years in maritime simulation or related engineering fields, proficiency in C/C++, scripting, and version control, plus the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience developing code on Linux and Windows with C/C++ or C#.
• Proficient in scripting environments such as Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering with three years’ related experience in aircraft, flight, or maritime simulation systems.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support maritime systems that replicate bridge systems of ships and boats, including communications, navigation, radar, and steering subsystems.
• Research, analyze, plan, design, develop, code, implement, integrate, and test associated systems using engineering principles.
• Review and prepare engineering reports, technical analysis, design reviews, and documentation.
• Perform simulation code development, systems integration, design, configuration management, QA testing, and resource management.
• Develop engineering procedures, controls, and participate in problem resolution within projects.
• Interface with engineers, system and program contractors, vendors, and Government representatives on technical aspects.
• Communicate ongoing activities and results to engineers, customers, stakeholders, and management.
