Sigma Defense is seeking an Application Developer to support NSWC Dahlgren Division ELCMDR program, delivering web-based applications and tools for systems engineering. The role concentrates on Java-based modernization, Oracle DB, and TypeScript/Vue development under DoD security standards.

You will work in an Agile environment, converting Java code to TypeScript, building Vue components, and maintaining documentation and SOPs while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity requirements. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, business, or tech with 2+ years of hands-on app development.
• 6+ years of technical experience can substitute for the degree requirement.
• Proficiency in Java, TypeScript, Angular, JavaScript, and Oracle DB preferred.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain an active Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and modernize mission-critical applications for government needs.
• Convert existing Java classes to TypeScript and build Vue.js components.
• Develop and maintain Oracle procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Execute software test procedures and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum environments and participate in stand-ups and sprints.
• Prepare technical docs, SOPs, and cutover plans.
• Support security requirements and DoD cyber standards.
