Job summary

Odyssey Systems is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support an Air Force acquisition mission at Hill AFB, Utah. You will provide cross-functional mechanical engineering expertise across the lifecycle of weapon systems and subsystems in an Advisory and Assistance Services role.

Requirements include US citizenship, an active Secret clearance, ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience; a Master’s degree is preferred. Onsite at Hill AFB with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical/aerospace/materials engineering support across lifecycle.
• Apply engineering principles to meet cost, schedule and performance goals.
• Assist with engineering analysis, troubleshooting and recommendations.
• Support complex tasks including statics, dynamics, tribology, wear, fatigue, corrosion, fluids, thermodynamics.
• Generate and interpret technical data packages (2D drawings, 3D models).
• Support testing, life prediction and standardization of materials.
• Provide inputs to briefings and program documentation for government decisions.
• Collaborate within IPTs to enable mission execution.
