Job summary

Verdegard is seeking a detail‑oriented Health Plan Document Specialist to support development and maintenance of Plan Documents, SOBs, SBCs, health plan ID cards, and related materials. You will create and maintain policies, procedures, and document repositories, and perform quality checks on daily ID card orders.

The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and collaboration with teams to ensure compliant health plan documentation and timely processing of requests.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA and 1+ years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple on-going projects.

Responsibilities

  • Document, maintain and distribute departmental policies and procedures, process flows and standard operating procedures to ensure employees' knowledge of departmental processes.
  • Interview operational and management personnel to ensure accuracy of documented policies, procedures, standard operating procedures and workflows.
  • Create, maintain and distribute Plan Documents, SOB, SBC, Amendments and ID cards for health plans.
  • Recommend options to ensure workflow effectiveness and efficiency as well as compliance of policies, procedures, standard operating procedures, and health plan documents.
  • Assist in the publication of policies, procedures, standard operation procedures and health plan documents and maintain the electronic distribution to users throughout the department and organization.
  • Review, perform quality checks and process daily ID card orders

Job Description

Summary


Assist in the development and maintenance of Plan Documents, Schedules of Benefits (SOB), Summary of Benefits & Coverage (SBC), health plan ID cards, departmental policies, procedures, process workflows and standard operating procedures as well as other related materials such as reference guides, reports, and presentations. Create and maintain policies, procedures and document repository. Perform quality checks and process daily ID card orders.

Education and/or Experience

BS/BA and 1+ years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience


Computer Skills

Intermediate knowledge of MS Office / Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and MS Excel.
