Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) seeks a Document Control Specialist II to produce precise technical content for the Solid Rocket Motor program. Remote option available; role supports Huntsville, AL; Niceville, FL; Hampton, AR facilities and broader program requirements.

You will collaborate with engineering teams to verify data, organize product information, and publish content that adheres to terminology and editorial standards, ensuring program consistency and compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and 2-4 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred in Quality or Business Administration.
• Knowledge: Change/Version Control, Change Request Management, Configuration Management, Release Engineering, Writing Procedures & Documentation.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes changes of product design to determine effects and prepares required documentation.
• Coordinates with customers and manufacturers to determine change reporting process.
• Reviews released engineering change data and ensures adherence to configuration management procedures.
• Supports various departments by collecting and maintaining blueprints, specifications, and other technical docs.
• Ensures documents are retained and destroyed per internal policies and regulatory requirements.
