Job summary

Maverick Power is seeking a detail-oriented professional to manage document control and coordinate shipping and logistics. The role combines maintaining controlled documents with production framing support and daily tracking responsibilities.

You will prepare shipping paperwork, coordinate with project managers, and ensure timely distribution of packing lists and BOLs. A strong focus on accuracy and communication in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in document control or logistics coordination.
  • Strong communication skills with warehouse, purchasing, and vendors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organized.
  • Proficient with creating and tracking shipping documents and logs.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and distribute controlled documents and revise status with engineering teams.
  • Coordinate framing, production tracking, and daily status updates.
  • Prepare shipping labels, packing lists, and master schedules; ensure BOL and docs are current.
  • Collaborate with project managers and logistics to schedule trailers and freight.

About the Role:

This multifaceted role combines document control responsibilities with the coordination of shipping and logistics activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Document Management:
    • Create, maintain, and distribute controlled documents (drawings, specifications, work instructions, etc.)
    • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and current revision status of all controlled documents
    • Work with engineering team to issue and track document revisions, notifying relevant departments of any new changes
    • Maintain document change logs and distribution records.
    • Pull and destroy all issued documents when project is complete
  • Production:
    • Create unit identification labels and travelers for production frames
    • Direct framing dept. on framing order based on production schedule
    • Send out Production Tracker at the end of each day
    • Work with pretest and test to get the status of each unit
  • Shipping Documents:
    • Prepare labels and other necessary shipping documents for each unit
    • Coordinate with project managers to create packing lists for shipments
    • Keep master shipping schedule and production schedule up to date
    • Prepare skid assignment paperwork for shipping lead to use when preparing skids
    • Send shipment emails to leadership team when a shipment has been picked up
  • Shipping & Logistics:
    • Order Fulfillment:
    • Coordinate with logistics manager to schedule trailers for shipments
    • Prepare and process shipping documentation - bills of lading
    • Coordinate between shipping department and logistics team to schedule freight shipments with carriers
    • Assist shipping department to prepare units that are going out
    • Resolve shipping and delivery issues as they arise.
    • Work with drivers to get the shipments picked up
    • Load units on to trailers.
    • Upload shipment documentation and photos to Dropbox.
    • Send detailed shipment email to all stakeholders.
    • Update master shipping schedule with shipment status and BOL information.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to understand all safety requirements and cautions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, the purchasing department, and outside vendors
  • Basic understanding of inventory control procedures
  • Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting, standing, and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low.
Work Environment:

May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
