Job description

Auriga Corporation currently has a vacancy in the San Francisco, California Office for a Document Control Lead.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and enforce document control processes from document creation through archiving, using SharePoint and related tools
  • Oversee daily operations of incoming and outgoing documentation, including QC of consultant and contractor submittals
  • Assign and validate metadata, versioning, and document status to maintain traceability and audit readiness
  • Ensure program documents meet internal and contractual metadata standards, including document numbering, revision control, and classification
  • Manage system permissions, user access, and license allocations in SharePoint; coordinate with IT and program stakeholders as needed
  • Troubleshoot and support automation workflows (Nintex or similar); develop workarounds and system improvements as necessary
  • Provide oversight of the program’s document repository to ensure consistent metadata use, search functionality, and reporting accuracy
  • Develop and maintain training materials, conduct SharePoint & InEight systems onboarding, and recurring user training sessions
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing document control logs, version histories, and compliance evidence
  • Liaise with project managers, QA staff, technical leads, and external contractors to align document workflows and metadata integrity
  • Manage help desk support related to SharePoint and document control issues
  • Participate in system migrations, upgrades, and implementations to improve document control efficiency and standardization
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 8 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency in experience and/or education
  • Proficient in SharePoint management and workflow
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Requires advanced knowledge of SharePoint architecture, metadata control, and automation, and a strong background in construction project documentation standards and regulatory compliance.

The following experience is greatly preferred for this position:

  • 12+ years of document control experience on large-scale infrastructure, transportation, or aviation projects
  • Expertise in SharePoint Online document libraries, permissions management, and workflow automation tools such as Nintex or Power Automate
  • Proven ability to manage full document lifecycle and enforce metadata compliance across high-volume environments
  • Hands-on experience with various DMS platforms
  • Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards, government compliance requirements, and program-level QA/QC procedures
  • Strong communication, training, and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to document integrity and traceability
  • Strong organizational skills and a customer-service mindset
  • Ability to adapt under pressure and meet deadlines while managing competing priorities
