Job summary

A leading cruise line is seeking a qualified doctor to provide medical care to passengers and crew aboard their ships. The role involves diagnosing and treating illnesses, handling emergencies, and managing the medical practice onboard. Candidates should possess a medical degree, valid registration, and relevant certifications, along with experience in emergency medicine or ICU. Job description

Doctors provide medical care to passengers and crew, diagnose and treat illnesses, handle emergencies, and manage the ship’s medical practice.

Qualifications include a medical degree from a recognized medical school, valid professional registration, and a current license to practice with a recognized regulatory body.

Experience and background:

  1. Minimum of three years of recent postgraduate clinical experience in emergency medicine, acute care, or ICU.
  2. ACLS or ALS Certification (required for employment).
  3. PALS and ATLS Certification (strongly recommended).
  4. Experience and certification in point of care ultrasound (strongly recommended).
  5. Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  6. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite, including good typing skills.
  7. Experience with Electronic Health Records and health IT systems.
  8. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills for high patient satisfaction.
  9. Additional preferred training: Advanced Airway Management, ICU, Primary Emergency Care, ECG, Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Pediatric Life Support.
