A leading university in South Carolina is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapy Faculty Member to support doctoral students through proposal reviews and committee guidance. This role emphasizes teaching, mentoring, and active engagement in scholarly activities. Applicants with a terminal degree and extensive clinical experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
The FMU Occupational Therapy Program seeks an experienced faculty member who will review all project proposals and help OTD students select their doctoral committee, organize the students’ defense of their proposal, review IRB submissions when necessary, and establish appropriate doctoral experiential goals in collaboration with the student, faculty capstone mentor, content expert and the committee. The successful candidate will serve as an integral member of the Department and the School of Health Sciences team during the initial accreditation process and have the primary responsibility of ensuring the program’s compliance with all capstone requirements as outlined in Section D.1.0 of the 2023 Accreditation Council for Occupational Education’s (ACOTE) Standards.

This position is a 12-month, tenure-track appointment. Candidates with expertise in all areas of Occupational Therapy will be considered, however experience in developing, managing, and overseeing research and/or doctoral projects is highly desirable.
