RESPONSIBILITIES:

Overall administration of the clinic

Evaluate, treat, and direction of patient care.

Supervision of clinical and administrative staff following the board of California.

Coordinating with physicians and other practitioners for patient issues.

HR Payroll, Hiring, and Termination, Training and Supervision

Facility Management

RESPONSIBLE TO:

Director of Physical Therapy

CLINICAL/THERAPY

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform Physical/Occupational Therapy evaluations and treatments.

Perform objective measurements, including but not limited to psychometric, isometric, and functional.

Perform and/or participate in functional capacity examinations and work conditioning.

Ensure that the clinic maintains patient log, Patient Care Conference (PCC), and follow-up is done.

Direct supervision of patients in conditioning program via Aide and physical/occupational therapy assistant as per Board of California.

Supervise patient schedules.

Oversee and interact with physicians and nurse practitioners regarding patient care.

Provide motivation, education, guidance, and support to patients.

Assist in the development and maintenance of patient education programs.

ADMINISTRATIVE

RESPONSIBILTIES:

Implement and support all Synergy policies to staff in respective clinics.

Maintain quality of care issues.

Comply with Medicare and board of California documentation guidelines for all staff. Treatment times and billing, Patient scheduling and patient flow issues, Public relations, and Patient/referral source dilemmas as they arise.

Supervise all clinical and front office staff as well as their duties

Assist in hiring of new staff and identifying poor staff performance/terminations

Oversee proficiency of all staff with current EMR and log

Assist in overseeing staff scheduling including time off/overtime approval/and payroll

Employee training for both clinical and administrative staff.

Report repairs needed and maintain all clinic equipment and floor space.

Oversee supply ordering for physical therapy, hand therapy, and front office.

Provide weekly and monthly clinic data to the Director of Physical Therapy.

Review Key Performance Indicators and trends to assist with the management of volume issues.

Manage front office responsibilities to ensure patient flow.

Verify treatment times and proper coding/billing supported by documentation.

Complete a monthly Directors Report.

Schedule meetings as necessary with the Director of Physical Therapy and Administration to discuss progress and future goals.

Maintain current knowledge of professional related literature and comply with California Therapy Board's continuing education requirements.

Attend seminars/meetings/training as required

MARKETING:

Assist with performing the set Synergy marketing program.

Physicians, Chiropractors, Industrial, an insurance company, attorneys, Direct access to physical/occupational therapy

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients.

Requires prolonged standing, walking, frequent bending, stooping, stretching, and lifting up to 250 pounds with assistance as necessary.

Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination, as well as vision and hearing within a normal range.

Requires proficiency in the use of office machines such as telephone, computer, copier, appropriate medical equipment, and gym equipment.

Requires the ability to speak clearly and concisely.

Education

BS, Preferred Masters in Physical Therapy (PT) or Doctorate in Physical Therapy, or Masters in Occupational Therapy

Experience

Orthopedic Rehabilitation, preferred 2+years experience

2 + years Management

Licenses

Active and current Physical Therapy/ Occupational Therapy License.
