Job description

Televisit MD Inc. is an innovative telehealth software platform looking to expand its database of healthcare practitioners! This is a 100% remote position with a competitive payment model, an easy-to-navigate system, and unlimited access to patients all over the United States!

We are currently seeking applications with DO licensure. Strong preference is given to practitioners licensed in multiple states.

We are looking for a responsible Doctor of Osteopathy to provide high-quality medical care by examining patients and treating ailments. You will undertake tasks aiming for prevention and promotion of healthy habits. A great Doctor of Osteopathy is a highly qualified professional and a compassionate individual, knowledgeable in diseases, epidemiology, and other medical conditions to interpret symptoms and diagnose conditions. The job can be demanding, so a great deal of patience and physical endurance is required.

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct routine check-ups to assess patients' health conditions and discover possible issues.
  2. Give appropriate advice for healthy habits (diet, hygiene, etc.) and preventative actions to promote overall health.
  3. Conduct examinations for ill patients and evaluate symptoms to determine their condition.
  4. Ask intuitive questions to discover causes of illness.
  5. Reach an informed diagnosis based on scientific knowledge and the patient’s medical history.
  6. Prescribe and interpret lab tests to obtain more information for underlying infections or abnormalities.
  7. Prescribe non-narcotic medications and provide comprehensive instructions for administration.
  8. Collaborate with other physicians, physician assistants, and nurses to form a high-performing medical team.
  9. Examine and provide treatments for injuries and refer patients to other physicians when needed (ophthalmologists, orthopedists, neurologists, etc.).
  10. Keep records of patients’ diseases, operations, or other significant information (e.g., allergic episodes).
  11. Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients.
  12. Remain up-to-speed with developments and best practices in medicine by attending conferences and seminars.

Skills

  1. Proven experience as a Doctor of Osteopathy.
  2. Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics.
  3. Broad knowledge of common medications, side effects, and contraindications.
  4. In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and best practices.
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  6. Respect for patient confidentiality.
  7. Compassionate and approachable demeanor.
  8. Responsible and trustworthy.
  9. Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) and valid license to practice the profession.
