Job description

A Duie Pyle is seeking a Part-Time Outbound Dock Worker to work in our Streetsboro, OH terminal. Our freight handlers are responsible for safely transporting freight on and off trailers, and verifying related documentation via electronic or manual systems. Prior forklift experience is preferred. Our dockworkers may be asked to work a flexible schedule, including day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Start time: 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Pay Rate: $20.35 per hour, increasing to $21.35 after 12 months of employment

Responsibilities include:

• Loading and unloading freight on trailers using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts or electric pallet jacks
• Picking, staging, and securing freight inside trailers to ensure safe transport
• Using document management systems to track and monitor freight shipments throughout the terminal
• Communicating with terminal personnel and drivers
• Maintaining a customer service-oriented approach

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Prior experience in warehousing, freight, or logistics (preferred)
• Ability to follow all safety rules and regulations
• Effective reading, writing, and speaking skills in English
