Overview

XGS warehouse dockworkers are responsible for loading and unloading freight by hand or using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts, sorting products, and ensuring trailers are properly loaded. This role involves using barcode scanners and maintaining a neat and organized service center dock.

Responsibilities

1. Monday-Friday, 6 AM start time
2. $22.10 per hour
3. Unload delivery trucks into the warehouse
4. Handle freight manually or with equipment like lift trucks and pallet jacks
5. Use scanners to read barcodes on products and freight
6. Ensure freight is correctly labeled and routed
7. Verify shipping information and update records
8. Receive, put away inventory, and check for damages
9. Sort freight by destination and verify counts
10. Maintain cleanliness of the dock area
11. Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

1. At least 6 months of relevant experience
2. Previous fulfillment or warehousing experience preferred
3. Ability to interpret work orders
4. Strong attention to detail
5. Minimum age of 18
6. Meet minimum hiring criteria

Physical and Mental Requirements

1. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
2. Experience operating lift trucks or pallet jacks preferred
3. Frequently lift objects up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 70 pounds; pull up to 100 pounds; push up to 50 pounds
4. Occasionally climb stairs
5. Frequently stoop, kneel, or crouch

Environment

Work is mainly in a comfortable office setting with exposure to site conditions. Personal protective equipment is required as needed. Care must be taken during onsite activities.
