Job Description

Dock Workers are responsible for loading and unloading trailers for the purpose of transporting a wide variety of cargo, moving cargo, driving a forklift, or using a pallet jack or other freight for transit. They must operate mobile technology effectively and complete all required paperwork. Actual duties and schedule may vary depending on terminal location.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile technology.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack or other material handling equipment.
• Load and unload trailers.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
• Complete all required paperwork.
• Preferred: 1 year of forklift experience.

Requirements

Education:

• High School Diploma / GED required.

Additional Requirements:

• Pass pre-employment drug screen and meet medical requirements.
• Shift days and hours vary by location and may include days, nights, and weekends. Ability to work these hours is a minimum requirement.

Benefits

• Wages are based on Teamster Union Scale, generally higher than most other carriers. Overtime pay after 8 hours/day.
