Job summary

20 Saia Motor Freight Line LLC is seeking a reliable dock worker to load and unload freight using forklifts and pallet jacks at our Minneapolis-area facility. You will verify shipments, secure loads, and follow safety and quality procedures to ensure on-time deliveries.

Minimum qualifications include 18+, a high school diploma or GED, US work authorization, and proficient English for shipping documents. Opportunities for full-time or part-time schedules with competitive pay and benefits exist.

Qualifications

Ability to read, write, and comprehend English for shipping docs and instructions.

Responsibilities

Load and unload trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment per regulations.
Operate dock tools to secure freight and maintain straps, bars, airbags, and dunnage.
Load, recoup, rewrap, and stack freight as needed.
Verify shipments by reading labels and securing freight for loading/unloading.
Follow bill of lading and QC procedures to ensure timely, cost-efficient shipments.
Log and report shortages and damages to freight.
Promote a safe and clean work environment.
