Job summary

Ffe-Transportation-Services, Inc. is seeking dockworkers to load and unload trailers in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The role supports drivers, performs routine forklift inspections, and ensures accurate inventory counting and reporting.

Qualifications

• Ability to load/unload goods from trailers.
• Proper handling to avoid damage or loss of goods.
• Maintain organized dock area and label skids.
• Count inventory using bills of lading/manifests.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading.
• Perform forklift daily safety checks.
• Keep dock area clean and safe.
• Stack goods securely and neatly.
• Submit reports in a timely manner.
• Understand basic arithmetic for tasks and records.
• Assist supervisor in on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers and shipments according to proper procedures.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading of goods and equipment.
• Conduct daily forklift inspections and maintain safe operations.
• Maintain housekeeping around the dock and organize stacks.
• Complete required reports and data entries promptly.
• Provide on-the-job training to staff, participants, and volunteers.
• Ensure shipments are secured and labeled properly for transport.
• Follow safe freight handling and lifting procedures.
• Maintain reliable attendance and perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Hiring Dockworkers to load and unload trailers in our fast-paced warehouse environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proper loading in and out of trailers
• Handle goods and equipment properly to avoid damage or breakage
• Sort and label skids and place in proper locations
• Perform inventory count based on bills of lading, trailer manifests or packing slips when loading and unloading goods and when loading and unloading shipments and returns
• Assist drivers in loading / unloading of goods or equipment
• Performs daily routine inspection to forklift
• Maintain good housekeeping around dock area
• Stack goods neatly and safely
• Submit needed reports and information in a timely manner
• Perform basic arithmetical calculations including addition, subtraction, division and multiplication
• Assist supervisor in providing on the job training to new staff, participants, clients and volunteers
• Load and secure shipments according to proper procedure
• Understand and implement safe, efficient freight handling and lifting procedures
• Regular and reliable attendance is required
• Other duties as assigned
