Location: Seattle, WA - Downtown

Rate: $30.90/Hour

Available Schedules: M-F 2pm-10:45pm (40hrs)

At Securitas, on-site Security Officers are the foundation of our organization. Our Officers are trained to provide a high level of professionalism and specialization for their assignments, help safeguard people, property, and information.

We are looking for an experience Dockmaster to join our team in Downtown Seattle. As a Dockmaster, you will be responsible for managing access control, monitoring incoming and outgoing freight and deliveries, coordinating with tenants and vendors, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of operations at the loading dock area. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all dock-related activities
  • Monitor and control access to the loading dock area for authorized vehicles, personnel, and vendors
  • Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, shipments, and visitors
  • Conduct safety inspections of the dock area and report any hazards or violations
  • Coordinate dock appointments and ensure efficient vehicle turnaround
  • Communicate with building management, tenants, and logistics personnel to facilitate smooth operations
  • Enforce company and site-specific policies and procedures
  • Monitor security cameras and other surveillance equipment
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm and professional manner
  • Provide excellent customer service to all dock users and stakeholders

Position Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Intermediate to Advance computer proficiency.
  • Competence with MS Office Suite and other database systems.
  • Must be able to effectively and confidently disseminate information to individuals, groups, peers, clients, executives and stakeholders.
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to remain calm and handle high-stress situations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to quickly adapt and excel in dynamic situations.
  • Prepare written reports of incidents in the proper format and with correct grammar and spelling.
  • Demonstrated excellence in providing customer service.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to multitask and discern patterns in detail.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
