Job summary

Traina-Enterprises is seeking a reliable Dockhand/Groundskeeper to help maintain the marina environment at our Gainesville location. The role involves outdoor duties, guiding boats, and assisting with routine dock maintenance to ensure a clean and safe facility.

The candidate should be comfortable with physical tasks, able to work Monday through Friday, and capable of swimming. Teamwork and a positive attitude are essential to daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically able to stand, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Outdoor/indoor work in all weather conditions; may be exposed to heat and rain.
• Must be able to swim.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of docks, walkways, and marina grounds.
• Assist with towing boats from docks to the forklift for removal from the water.
• Support guests as they arrive at the docks by helping guide and secure boats.
• Assist the dry stack team with routine maintenance and construction of dock boxes.
• Remove trash and debris from docks, slips, and common areas.
• Keep the parking lot clean, organized, and free of litter.
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks as needed.
• Help ensure docks and surrounding areas remain safe and orderly.
• Support marina staff with general tasks and daily operations.
• Follow safety guidelines and marina procedures at all times.

• Working inside as well as outdoors in all weather conditions. Aspects of position may require working in extreme temperatures.
• Must be available to work Monday to Friday.
• Must be able to swim.
