The Resort at Longboat Key Club in Longboat Key, FL, is seeking a dedicated Dockhand to join our marina team. You will assist with docking, perform dock and equipment inspections, monitor safety, and support guests with exceptional service.

Responsibilities include operating the marina shuttle (age 21+), responding to emergencies, maintaining clean docks, and collaborating with staff to ensure smooth daily operations in a beautiful waterfront setting.

Qualifications

• Overnight, weekend, and holiday availability.
• Basic boating knowledge preferred.
• Clean driving record.
• Strong attention to safety protocols.
• Good physical condition (lift 50+ lbs).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

• Assist with docking and un-docking boats during hours
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of docks and marina equipment
• Monitor the marina area for security and safety compliance
• Drive Marina Shuttle to transport marina guests (Must be 21 years of age)
• Respond promptly to any emergency situations or guest requests
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the marina and dock areas
• Collaborate with marina staff to support daily operational needs

Requirements

• Ability to work overnight shifts and weekends and holidays as needed
• Basic knowledge of boating and marina operations preferred
• Must have clean driving record
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
• Good physical condition to perform manual tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Able to life 50+ lbs
