Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein seeks a Docketing Paralegal for its Charlotte or Raleigh offices. You will maintain a regular schedule of 7.5 hours per day, totaling 37.5 hours weekly, with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities include reviewing pleadings, tracking deadlines, entering data into the docketing system, and providing proactive support to attorneys. You will work in a fast-paced litigation environment, ensuring accurate calendar management and adherence to court rules.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of experience supporting litigation teams and calendaring docket deadlines; associate degree or equivalent Experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree and Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the rules of civil procedure and civil litigation.

Responsibilities

  • Review pleadings and court filings for response deadlines.
  • Verify response dates and deadlines and enter information into the docketing database.
  • Track, maintain and update case information in the docketing database.
  • Provide proactive support to attorneys and staff to ensure docketing deadlines and court appearances are integrated into Outlook calendars.
  • Maintain and improve processes for accurate entry of docketed deadlines.
