The Docketing Paralegal will review pleadings, track deadlines, and manage docketing data across state and federal courts, ensuring calendars are accurate and up to date. Strong civil procedure knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years supporting litigation teams and calendaring deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of civil procedure and filing rules.
  • Proficiency with MS Office; experience with docketing software (CompuLaw) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review pleadings and court filings for deadlines.
  • Verify response dates and deadlines and enter information into the docketing database.
  • Track, maintain and update case information in the docketing database.
  • Perform administrative duties in support of docketing.
  • Continually review and interpret civil procedure rules in state and federal courts.
  • Provide proactive support to attorneys and staff to ensure docketing deadlines and appearances are integrated into Outlook calendars.
  • Maintain and improve processes to ensure accurate entry of docketed deadlines.
  • Adhere to firm policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
