Job summary

Goodwill Houston is seeking a Computer Works Dock Worker 1 to support the Computer Works department. You will process donated goods, prepare items for transport, and help maintain efficient dock and outlet operations to maximize mission funding.

The role requires independent work, attention to safety, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have reliable transportation and be free from illegal substances; position is on-site at our Houston outlet and donation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates GWH’s Core Values in all actions.
• Ensures alignment and consistency of all CW store operations.
• Processes donated goods efficiently according to GWH needs.
• Bales merchandise and identifies items to bale together or separately.
• Assist with quality control and unit sorting.
• Move goods on dock or production areas and load/unload trucks with handling equipment.
• Sort products into salvage, recycling, and trash.
• Operate material handling equipment safely per state laws and policies.
• Maintain neat processing areas and report repairs to a supervisor.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and timely.
• Foster cooperative relationships with Team Members.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
