We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join us as a Dockworker. This role is vital for ensuring the safe, efficient loading and unloading of freight, as well as supporting warehouse and material handling operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and be team-driven. You will help uphold our promise of delivering customer freight accurately and on time, contributing to our OD Family culture.
The dockworker must efficiently load and unload freight, ensuring correct items are placed on the right trucks. Safety is paramount, utilizing equipment like forklifts and manual techniques to handle materials. Proper securing of freight with airbags, cardboard, and straps is crucial to prevent damage during transport. This position directly impacts the reliability of deliveries to customers.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Knowledge of safe lifting, freight transportation procedures, and loading techniques; ability to complete freight forms; familiarity with yard management systems; availability to work flexible hours; ability to operate a handheld tablet.
The physical requirements include standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, lifting objects up to 100 lbs., pushing/pulling freight, and other physical activities necessary for the role. Reasonable accommodations are available.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Work environments may include various weather conditions, noise, and odors.
Work days and shifts vary based on scheduling needs. Attendance and flexibility are required.
