Job summary

UNFI is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee shipping, receiving, storage and distribution in a fast-paced distribution center. You will lead floor teams, coach leads, and ensure daily workload is completed efficiently and cost-effectively.

Responsibilities include supervising all warehouse functions, completing paperwork, training new hires, and evaluating performance. The role emphasizes strong leadership, organization, and communication to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of progressive related experience.
• Basic knowledge of purchasing and inventory procedures and policies.
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

Position Purpose

Responsible for Supervising the shipping/receiving functions of all outgoing/incoming products from the warehouse. Leads and controls activities of company warehouse personnel. Front line supervision is an extremely important function for the company, positive interaction with the employees is critical as this ensures getting work out on time, efficiently, and accurately. Ensures shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution are performed in an efficient manner.

Essential Functions And Basic Duties

• Safety regulations and procedures and followed.
• Professional business relations exist with suppliers, vendors, outside contacts and internal departments.
• Management is appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
