Job summary

The Spotter role at NFI oversees driving and positioning trailers at loading docks and staging areas. You will attach drive units, move trailers to loading bays, and inspect vehicle safety before and after trips.

You will also assist with loading and unloading trucks and perform other duties as assigned. Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years in a similar role, and strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to work independently.
• Experience with MS Office applications.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to follow safety procedures.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar position.

Responsibilities

• Attach drive unit to trailers to move to and from dock doors for loading and unloading.
• Inspect trucks for defects before and after trips and submit reports indicating truck condition.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
• Other duties as assigned.
