Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Schedule dock appointments to ensure orderly product receiving.

Compensation: $20.00 - $24.00 / hour

A Dock Supervisor at Pacific Seafood plays a key role on our production team supporting efforts to receive inventory and upkeep of high-quality standards. This position involves unloading products from vessels in a safe and timely manner, utilizing the appropriate equipment and proper handling techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure smooth product receiving by scheduling dock appointments for orderly receiving of product.
  2. Direct dock activities; coordinate staff scheduling to appropriately meet docks’ needs.
  3. Maintain and enforce dock safety rules.
  4. Oversee all APC receiving.
  5. Ensure HACCP and SSOP’s are met and rigorously enforce standards of sanitation and product handling.
  6. Review inventory with plant manager.
  7. Maintain fisherman/vendor relationships by meeting performance standards.
  8. Monitor landing quality of all products received.
  9. Complete and submit E-Tickets.
  10. Ensure all products are labeled properly.
  11. Maintain and operate all dock equipment efficiently. Equipment including but not limited to forklifts, telehandlers, loaders, deuce-and-a-half beach trucks, and cranes
  12. Ensure all products received, processed or shipped meet Pacific Seafood quality expectations.
  13. Keep all work areas clean and organized at all times.
  14. Perform other duties, as assigned.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.

What you bring to Pacific Seafood

Required:

  • Prior experience with crane, hoist, and forklift operation. (Equipment operation including but not limited to forklifts, telehandlers, loaders, deuce-and-a-half beach trucks, and cranes.)
  • Knowledge of basic knots and line splicing
  • Minimum one year related experience and/or training.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience with HACCP, COOL Act, or other food safety programs.
  • HACCP or other Food Safety certification.
  • Fork-Lift Certification
