Job summary

Pacific Seafood in Warrenton, OR is seeking a Dock Worker to support inventory receipt and product handling on the production team. The role involves unloading vessels safely, operating dock equipment, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Candidates should have experience with forklifts, cranes or hoists, and knowledge of knots and line splicing. A valid driver's license and good communication are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate dock equipment including forklifts, telehandlers, loaders, and cranes to unload and move product.
  • Learn product species, sub-types, and specs for sorting and handling received goods.
  • Ensure all products meet quality expectations and notify supervisor of inconsistencies.
  • Communicate with leads and supervisors regarding supply material levels.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas and follow SSOP requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation: $17.63 - $18.54 / hour

Summary

A Dock Worker at Pacific Seafood plays a key role on our production team supporting efforts to receive inventory and upkeep of high-quality standards. This position involves unloading products from vessels in a safe and timely manner, utilizing the appropriate equipment and proper handling techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and operate all dock equipment efficiently. Equipment including but not limited to forklifts, telehandlers, loaders, deuce-and-a-half beach trucks, and cranes
  • Learn all product species, sub-types and specs on sorting/handling of all products received at the dock.
  • Ensure all products received, processed or shipped meet Pacific Seafood quality expectations.
  • Notify supervisor when there are inconsistencies.
  • Communicate with leads, supervisors and other team members regarding supply material levels.
  • Keep all work areas clean and organized at all times.
  • Learn and apply all SSOP for all job requirements.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.

Required Qualifications
  • Prior experience with crane, hoist, and forklift operation. (Equipment operation including but not limited to forklifts, telehandlers, loaders, deuce-and-a-half beach trucks, and cranes.)
  • Knowledge of basic knots and line splicing
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in the seafood industry
  • Valid drivers license
  • Effective communication skills
