Pathmark Transportation seeks an Inbound and Outbound Dock Supervisor to oversee daily receiving and unloading operations. The role supervises dock staff, coordinates inbound shipments, and maintains cross-department communication to meet service expectations.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, ensuring accurate freight handling, maintaining safety standards, and driving dock efficiency. A high school diploma, 2+ years of related experience, and forklift familiarity are preferred.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 2 years of warehouse, receiving, dock, or freight-handling experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of receiving procedures, shipping documents, and inventory controls.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Basic computer skills and experience with warehouse systems and handheld scanners.
• Forklift experience preferred; must complete required training and authorization before operating equipment.

Mansioni

• Supervise inbound dock employees, assign daily responsibilities, and monitor productivity and work quality.
• Coordinate trailer arrivals, dock assignments, and unloading priorities to keep freight moving and minimize delays.
• Verify incoming freight against bills of lading, manifests, and receiving documents.
• Ensure freight is counted, inspected, scanned, labeled, and staged properly.
• Document and report freight shortages, overages, damages, and receiving discrepancies promptly.
• Communicate shipment delays, staffing needs, equipment issues, and operational concerns to management.
• Train and coach employees on receiving procedures, freight handling, scanning equipment, and safe work practices.
• Enforce company safety procedures, including proper lifting, forklift operation, trailer securement, and pedestrian awareness.
• Ensure equipment inspections are completed and unsafe or damaged equipment is removed.
• Maintain clean, organized dock areas with clear aisles, exits, and access to emergency equipment.
• Address employee performance and attendance concerns consistently with company policies.
• Complete shift reports and provide clear handoffs regarding pending freight, exceptions, and priorities.
• Identify opportunities to reduce freight damage, improve receiving accuracy, and increase dock efficiency.
