Job summary

ProTrans in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Dock Coordinator to manage receiving, storing, and shipping of freight with data-entry duties. The role supports inventory accuracy, yard operations, and paperwork verification to ensure timely shipments.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00–16:30, with some overtime. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years related experience and/or training.
• Able to perform essential duties satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing procedures for verification of shipments and inventory control.
• Receive and process incoming freight, inspect for damage, and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Coordinate truck movements in the yard and perform regular dock checks.
• Prepare materials for shipment, verify part numbers, and ensure correct paperwork and bar coding.
• Inspect warehouse and equipment and maintain related logs.
• Communicate with team leader to coordinate warehouse activities and safety programs.
