Job summary

Canon Business Process Services in Fridley, MN is seeking a Dock Clerk to manage dock traffic, assign bays, and ensure safety. You will coordinate dock space for peak times and communicate space availability with the VSA and Ingress Post.

The role requires 2 years of dock experience, basic computer skills, and HazMat awareness training; English proficiency is essential, and other languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2 years of work experience in a Loading Dock, Shipping & Receiving, or Outdoor Loading Dock facility.
• Basic computer skills; Building Intelligence system knowledge is helpful but not required.
• Must read, write, and speak English; extra languages are a plus but not required.
• Must receive and pass HazMat Awareness Training.

Responsibilities

• Controls traffic flow in and around bays and other offloading locations.
• Assigns and manages vehicle's bay time usage.
• Coordinates dock space assets to maximize throughput during peak demand.
• Communicates with the VSA and Ingress Post regarding space availability and traffic flow.
• Responsible for overall Dock order, cleanliness, and safety.
• Serves as first responder if Dock Lead and Supervisor unavailable during HazMat issues.
• Documents damage caused by vehicles or vendors in the Dock area.
• Sends discrepancies with tickets to the Dock Lead Clerk II.
