Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Logistics Manager, the Dock Operations & Administrative Assistant for Mercedes-Benz Stadium (MBS) supports the day‑to‑day logistics and operational functions of the stadium. This role assists with shipping and receiving, mail distribution, dock scheduling, delivery coordination, outbound shipments, inventory tracking, and maintaining safe, clean, and organized loading dock and marshalling areas. The position works collaboratively with internal departments, vendors, concessionaires, and event operations teams to ensure efficient facility operations during event and non‑event days. This position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on stadium events and operational needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the shipping and receiving process for MBS. Receive and distribute inbound deliveries. Pack, dispatch, and track outbound shipments. Manage truck traffic on Mangum Street during periods of high activity.
- Maintain chain‑of‑custody tracking records for all received goods to validate date, time, location, and acceptance of all deliveries.
- Receive mail and distribute to appropriate business segments, departments, and individuals.
- Include deliveries to administrative areas throughout the building.
- Assist with proper workstation set up as needed, nameplate creation, credenza keys, office chairs, etc.
- Restock administrative office mail room with basic supplies as needed.
- Coordinate deliveries with F&B Concessionaire and keep marshalling area free and clear of clutter.
- Sort, handle, load, and unload freight using appropriate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Assist in managing inventory of liquefied petroleum (LP) gas cylinders used to operate motorized equipment at MBS.
- Assist in managing spent beer keg and empty pallet logistics at dock, while maintaining a clean and organized dock area.
- Coordinate with the Housekeeping Department to clean Marshalling area, loading docks, Broadcast dock, and Bus Parking area on a regular basis to maintain neat, clean, and organized appearance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required, college degree preferred.
- Prior experience in logistics, warehouse, shipping/receiving, mail operations, or facility operations preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and mobile technology devices.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong customer service mindset and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Experience in sports, entertainment, hospitality, or large venue operations preferred.
- Maintain compliance with all stadium safety procedures, OSHA standards, and operational protocols.
Preferred Certifications
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- OSHA or warehouse safety training preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work for extended periods.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to operate material‑handling equipment safely.
- Must have flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event days.
