Job summary

Oak Harbor Freight Lines in Utah (Salt Lake City) is seeking dependable Forklift Operators and Dock Workers for part-time roles. You will load, unload, and move freight, operate forklifts and hand trucks, and help keep shipments accurate and on schedule.

Candidates should possess basic English, good teamwork, and attention to safety. Prior warehouse or LTL experience is preferred, with strong counting and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior warehouse or like experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Basic arithmetic and measuring required.
• Experience with pallet jacks, hand trucks, dock plates, and related equipment preferred.
• Ability to communicate positively with customers, co-workers, and dispatch/ managers.
• Experience in an LTL operation preferred.
• Basic English language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks within specified timelines.
• Record counts and conditions of shipments to minimize cargo claims.
• Manage paperwork: delivery receipts, bills of lading, trailer manifests, and related documents.
• Regroup shipments as needed.
• Meet the company's reliability standards for employees.
• Availability to work various shifts to accommodate business needs.
• Other duties as assigned.
