Job summary

Levin Furniture & Mattress in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, seeks a Warehouse Associate to unload, load, wrap, and stage merchandise, assist with product placement for displays, and help with customer pickups.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong verbal and written communication, basic math and computer skills, and the ability to complete documentation accurately; physical ability to lift 100+ lbs is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and listening skills.
• Basic reading and comprehension skills.
• Basic numerical reasoning skills.
• Ability to complete paperwork in an accurate, neat and efficient manner.
• Proficient with basic computer skills. GERS or equivalent experience necessary.

Responsibilities

• Unloading, loading, wrapping, unwrapping, moving, lifting and staging of merchandise.
• Assist Design team with receipt and placement of product to replenish visual displays.
• Assist with customer pick-ups.
• Practice safe and secure material handling methods and distribute merchandise properly per product handling standards.
• Practice safe loading methods to avoid damages.
• Generate documents (FSR, CYCL, IST incoming/outgoing) and apply price tags on incoming merchandise.
• Report errors found on documents to supervisor.
• Complete documentation neatly and accurately.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Other duties including light housekeeping, grounds maintenance, and painting.

*Responsible for generating the following documents and completing all related tasks on a daily basis:

FSR, CYCL, IST incoming and outgoing, and all price tags on incoming merchandise.

*Reports errors found on documents to supervisor.

*Completes all documentation neatly and accurately.

*Maintains a safe and clean work environment.

*Other duties including but not limited to light housekeeping, grounds maintenance, and painting as assigned.

This position does not supervise others.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
