Job summary

Saia is a leading logistics and transportation company. This role sorts and handles freight in and out of over-the-road equipment, containers, city trailers, and straight trucks, operating forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload freight.

You will work under DOT regulations, verify shipments, and maintain safety and efficiency, with opportunities for growth and competitive pay between $26.05 and $29.75 per hour, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in warehouse or dock operations preferred.
• Forklift certification or hazmat training is a plus.
• Must read, write and comprehend English for shipments and records.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads freight from trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks and other equipment.
• Operates dock tools and secures freight for loading/unloading per procedures.
• Verifies shipments by reading labels and securing freight accurately.
• Logs shortages and damages and maintains a safe, clean work environment.
