Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a dock worker to transport freight across dock areas and trailer loading zones. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, secure loads, and assist customers with freight documentation.

The role requires physical ability to lift and move heavy freight and work in a dock environment with varying hours. Training provided; prior warehouse experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior warehousing or freight handling experience preferred.
• Hostler/yard mule duties experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers.
• Operate forklift and pallet jack to move freight.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, or rope.
• Verify documentation matches freight description and quantify weights.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
