Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. in Clear Lake, IA, is seeking a Forklift Operator to efficiently sort, load and unload freight on a dock. You'll use pallet jacks and forklifts, secure loads inside trailers, and scan shipments with mobile devices.

The role requires flexibility to work days, evenings, nights and weekends, on a non climate-controlled dock. Pay starts at $22.85 per hour with benefits for those scheduled 30 hours or more per week; this is a Motor Carrier Act Exempt position.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to perform basic math with or without a calculator.
• Availability to work days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Use forklift and pallet jack to move loads safely.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
• Work safely and follow company safety policies.
• Use mobile devices to scan and track shipments.
• Work on a dock not climate-controlled for extended periods.
