Job summary

Cold Spring Brewing, a leader in contract beverage production, seeks a full-time Night Shift Warehouse/Forklift Supervisor in Cold Spring, MN. You will lead forklift teams, manage FEFO inventory, and optimize inbound/outbound flow on a 12-hour night shift with 2-2-3 rotation and $2.00/hr night differential.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 3+ years forklift experience, and familiarity with SAP and MS Office. Benefits include health insurance, PTO, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead forklift operators in the efficient receiving, storage and distribution of all supplies, products and raw materials.
• Drive the warehouse operations to respond to production and other departments.
• Assist in setup and control of FEFO Inventory System to ensure uninterrupted flow of product and materials.
• Monitor workflow between inbound and outbound loads and adjust staffing to ensure timely handling.
• Model load and paperwork handling best practices.
• Communicate with Front Office team on workload.
• Keep calendar up to date.
• Maintain scanning and tagging of products.
• Report incidences impacting food safety and personnel safety to management.
• Coordinate with DC staff for streamlined communication and minimize load delays.
• Assist in moving and storing product as needed.
• Assist in staging and preparation of documentation for product and material being picked up or shipped.
• Drive process improvement initiatives for efficiency in the DCs.
• Create SOPs to ensure consistent methods for forklift operators.

Status: Full Time Night Shift

Hours: 12-hour shift - 6p-6a

Schedule: 2-2-3 rotating shifts (work 15 days a month!)

Summary

This position is responsible for driving the warehouse personnel to ensure the most efficient and timely response to all requests from production and other departments of the company. Ensure that company policy and procedure are being followed.

What You Will Be Doing

• Work with employees on each shift rotation to solve problems and create opportunities for success.
• Lead the forklift operators in the efficient receiving, storage and distribution of all supplies, products and raw materials.

• Monitors workflow between inbound and outbound loads and adjusts staffing accordingly to ensure loads are handled in a timely manner.
• Models load and paperwork handling best practices.
• Communicate with Front Office team on driving workload for the warehouse.
• Responsible to keep calendar up to date.
• Hold teams accountable for scanning and tagging products
• Ensures timely reporting to management of all incidences that would impact food safety and personnel safety.
• Serves as a liaison between DC staff teams to facilitate streamlined communication and minimize load delays.
• Assist in moving and storing of product as needed.
• Assist in staging and preparation of documentation for product and material being picked up or shipped.
• Drives process improvement initiatives aimed at gaining efficiencies throughout the DC’s.
• Creates SOPs as needed to ensure consistent methods used by all Forklift Operators
• Provide inventory for forklift operators when needed or when requested
• Performs all other duties as assigned or required by the supervisor/customer.
• Communicate with all leads and supervisors with an update at the end of each shift.
• Adhere to and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined in Employee Handbook.
• Adhere to and comply with quality production and Food Safety.

Job Setting

This role is based in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Employees will experience varying physical demands throughout the day, including standing for extended periods, walking on occasionally slippery floors, and handling equipment or materials.

Due to the nature of the facility, temperatures may fluctuate based on outside weather conditions including heat and cold.

The work environment can be loud, and hearing protection (ear plugs) is required. Additionally, to ensure safety and hygiene, employees must wear hairnets and refrain from wearing jewelry while on the production floor.

Alcohol is an ingredient in products we produce. We are unable to guarantee specific positions, work schedules or work environments that do not include working around alcohol.

Physical Requirements

• Regular bending, stooping and lifting up to 50lbs.
• Regular standing and sitting for extended periods of time on hard surfaces
• Vision required: distance, close, color, peripheral and depth perception
• Frequently required to stand, talk or hear, use hands to finger, feel and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to sit, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
• Works in a production and warehouse environment, including forklifts, equipment, and damp floors
• Frequently exposed to working near mechanical parts and exposed to vibration.
